    Do expandable stem casters fit square tubing?

    Yes. The rubber stem expands against the inside walls of the tube, so one round expandable stem fits round and square tubing with the same inside dimension. A round expanding stem also holds square tube better than a square adapter: the rubber presses evenly against all four walls, while a square adapter has to match the inside dimension exactly and sit square in the tube.

    How do I pick the right expandable stem size?

    Measure the inside of the tube, not the outside. Round tube: the inside diameter. Square tube: the inside width, flat to flat. Then choose the stem whose expansion range covers that number. The eight sizes cover 0.720 to 1.850 in., sold as 3/4, 7/8, 1, 1-1/8, 1-1/4, 1-3/8, 1-1/2 and 1-7/8 in. tube.

    What is the difference between an expandable stem caster and an expandable adapter?

    An expandable stem caster is the complete caster with the expanding rubber stem built in. An expandable adapter (EA90 to EA97) is the rubber plug on its own, for fitting a stem caster into tube. Both fit round or square tubing and use the same eight tube sizes.
