S24Stainless Steel Casters

The S24 Series is CasterHQ's stainless steel general purpose caster: 1-1/4 in. wide wheels in 3, 3-1/2, 4 and 5 in. diameters, rated 210 to 350 lb per caster. Stainless forks and plates for washdown, food service and labs. Sold as swivel, side brake and rigid. Top plate 2-3/8 x 3-5/8 in., plus threaded, grip ring and expandable stem mounts. Finish: stainless steel.

The S24 Series mounts on one plate size. 2-3/8 x 3-5/8 in. plate: bolt hole spacing 1-3/4 x 2-7/8 to 3 in., 5/16 in. bolts. The holes are slotted, so measure your old plate center to center and match the spacing, not just the plate outline.

210 to 350 lb per caster, depending on wheel diameter and material. By wheel size: 3 in. wheels 210 to 350 lb; 3-1/2 in. wheels 230 to 350 lb; 4 in. wheels 250 to 350 lb; 5 in. wheels 300 to 350 lb. To size a cart, divide the total weight (cart plus load) by one less than the number of casters, then choose a caster rated at or above that figure.

Yes. Swivel S24 Series casters are available with a side brake: a steel lever on the side of the fork that you step down to lock the wheel and lift to release (also called a top lock brake). Rigid casters have no brake.

Yes. The S24 Series is also sold with threaded stem 1/2-13 x 1-1/2 in., grip ring stem 7/16 x 1-3/8 in. and expandable rubber stems for round tube from 3/4 to 1-7/8 in. (measure the tube inside diameter). Stem casters use the same wheels, capacities and brake option as the plate versions.

S24 Series casters carry a 1 year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase. Normal wear, overloading, misuse and improper installation are not covered. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery.

Compared with the S24 Series, the 24 Series is the same 1-1/4 in. wide caster in zinc-plated steel, at a lower price, for dry indoor use.
